Berrien County Health Department helps residents quit smoking
This month the Michigan Department of Community Health offered free smoking cessation products through a state hot line.
And it was flooded with tens of thousands of calls in the first week alone.
Now the Berrien County Health Department is pitching in to help you butt out.
The BCHD will be offering smoking cessation classes to the public throughout the year, for free.
The “freedom from smoking” program offers individuals a step-by-step plan for quitting smoking.
The next scheduled class will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 2nd through May 1st.
Classes will be held at Berrien County’s environmental health building in Benton Harbor.
Class size is limited and pre-registration is recommended.
