Brad Pitt recently announced that he used to smoke marijuana, but quit when he became a father.
According to Extra TV, during an interview with Bill Maher in which Maher congratulated Pitt on his “stoner role” in the 1993 film, “True Romance,” Pitt admitted that he used to smoke pot.
“I certainly had my day,” he said.
The star of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming “Inglourious Basterds” said he quit for the sake of his kids: Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 3, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 1.
“I’m a dad now. You want to be alert and my eyes used to glaze over when I did that,” he said.
During the “Real Time” interview, Pitt also referred to his “Today” show interview where he discussed the possibility of his running for mayor and told host Ann Curry, “I’m running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform.”
Pitt admitted that he smoked his fair share of pot but recently quit. “I’m a dad now. You want to be alert and my eyes used to glaze over when I did that.”
Maher in a nostalgic memory recapped that he once saw Pitt at a New Year’s Eve party rolling the “most perfect” joints he’d ever seen.
Pitt’s response… “I’m an artist.”
We’re happy to hear that the dad of 6 is keeping it clean and being responsible.
