E-Cigarette: Anti-Tobacco Advocates’ Dream Come True?
Now that ASH UK has all but jumped on board along with many top public health officials, it looks as though the e-cigarette is gaining more and more public support to advance the use and widespread use of the e cigarette.
Smokers are hailing them as the best alternative to ever hit the market that counters the harmful effects of tobacco, and mixed with non-smokers support because of a lack of second-hand smoke makes the electronic gadget attractive to the masses in general.
“Support is growing by the day,” states Robin Durand, owner of FlyingRobin.com, “I use an e-cigarette myself instead of tobacco and when my friends and family see it, they’re amazed and want to know where they can get one for themselves or for the smoker in their lives. They’re amazing products and if this product stays legal, there’s no way I’ll go back to tobacco..”
The FDA and special interest are still looking into the e cigarette industry and there is a federal court case pending on the subject of an injunction to prevent the FDA from turning shipments back to their origin, but does not cover the legality of the electronic cigarette. Some experts are stating that this legal case could go on for years and that people should keep in mind that this case is not about the legality of the e-cigarette, but just over jurisdiction and importation rights.
