Smokefree legislation/initiatives

New tobacco control legislation came into force on 1 January 2009. Smoking is now banned in enclosed public places. In restaurants, bars and discos of >100m2 DSRs that are separate and ventilated must be set up. If the premises are < 100m2 it the business can chose to allow smoking throughout. These provisions are very similar to those in Spain. Smokefree resources available in 2009
