Ten tips for quitting

If you are trying to get rid of this habit, electric cigarette can satisfy your cravings.

1. There is a reason to quit smoking

Giving up smoking requires motivation and will. Make a list of reasons why you want to stop and put them somewhere obvious, so you can watch them whenever you want. Tell your friends and family so they can give you help and support in difficult times.

2. Be ready to pull

Studies have shown that people can light up after drinking alcohol, carbonated drinks and caffeine. So next time you head out to alternate your drinks with juice, nonalcoholic version, and that all important H2O.

3. Change your normal

Think about when you are most likely to smoke during the day, and then modify the routine to avoid temptation. Remove all traces of smoke from your home, car and office, and your electric cigarette at the ready.

4. Keep boredom at bay

How many times have you coverage just because you have nothing else to do? Try to keep busy so you do not end up craving cigarettes. Listen to your IPod, read a book or start a new hobby.

5. Keep the weight

Unfortunately, weight gain is a common side effect of quitting. Try to avoid fatty foods and fill your fridge a healthy snack.

6. Electric cigarette smoke

You may not necessarily be craving a cigarette, but instead just need something to put in your mouth. Mints, chewing gum, carrot sticks or your electric cigarettes make great substitutes.

7. Get hydrated

Increase the amount of fluid you consume. The more you drink, the quicker you can get rid of toxins in the body that cause withdrawal symptoms.

8. Be positive

Every year three million people in the UK are trying to quit smoking. Those who succeed are usually tried four times. It is normal to have a relapse, but try to focus on. Be careful how long you stop and then try to improve that next time.

9. Anticipate symptoms

Research shows as soon as you stop smoking you may suffer from a number of symptoms such as nausea, headache, cough or “smokers”. These symptoms are the result of your nicotine craving of the body and are perfectly normal. Fortunately, they make it easier over time.
